GRAVITY

THE STORY

Gravity returns to my roots of the Berlin School of electronic music style.

Gravity is the invisible force that holds everything together, and that’s what I wanted these tracks to feel like. I focused on the weight and pull of the sound. I wanted the listener to feel 'grounded' by the low frequencies. It’s a record about the forces we can’t see, but that we all feel every single day.

THE TRACKS

Dark Matter opens the album with a reference to the '70 electronic music of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schultze improvisational style, setting the tone of the album in the '70.

Blackshift starts with an phaser-heavy electric piano, later transforming to a mesmerizing sequence and atmosphere.

Electromagnetic Fields is a trip into a dark and mystical forest. That was the mental image I had while composing and producing it. The second part is a classical '70 Berlin School style composition sequencer-heavy with Mellotron sounds.

Astra Kinetic takes its inspiration from the mid '80 work of Edgar Froese, especially my favorite album, Pinnacles, and long form tracks.

Metric Tensor is a heavy and dense album where I used the Roland TR-909 drum machine to create a distinctive '90 feel to the track. The last part is a spirit-lifting theme leveraging a blend of '70 and '90 sounds.

Gravitational Redshift is a departure track, taking the listener to the exit area. Tension is released and the ending can start.
