ATMOSPHERE
THE STORY
With Atmosphere, I leaned into the vintage aesthetic, utilizing phasing and flanging to create a "70s-analog" warmth within a modern digital framework.
The album is built from 6 motions, each one part of a whole, but stands on its own.
THE TRACKS
Part 1 is a classical opening with soaring synth sequences and irregular rhythm.
Part 2 takes the listener through a meditative vibe with pulsing sounds and bell harmonics.
In Part 3 I go back to traditional Jarresque style rhythm, melody and harmony. Linked here is a video clip I created for this track.
Part 4 again is a classical interlude track bridging Part 3 and Part 5, with ambience sounds.
Parts 5 & 6 are basically the same track but split into two motions. Part 5 feels like homecoming with positive harmonies and sounds while Part 6 closes the album with a finite and gloomy mood.
