DELTA
THE STORY
This album launched my "Complexity Era." Inspired by the Simplicial Complex in geometry, Delta was professionally demanding, requiring a higher level of compositional architecture.
This album was a very quiet, personal project for me. I wanted to see how much I could say with very little, focusing on minimalist rhythms and subtle shifts in sound. It wasn't meant to be a grand statement; it was just me in the studio, experimenting with the 'delta', the small changes that happen when you let a sequence breathe. It’s some of the most focused music I’ve ever made on my own.
THE TRACKS
Automata open up the album with a storm. Drums, sequences and lush melody evolve into an hypnotic rhythm, ever so slightly changing.
Macroscopic Change starts with a symphonic orchestra arrangement to a core melody and harmony, evolving into a pulsating rhythm and sequences. Avid listeners will notice melodic and harmonic references to my early work of the late '80.
Uncertainty is rhythmic, dynamic and unstable. It takes the listener to a global journey, often playing with contrapunkts and polyrhythmic sequences. The video below enhances the track with visuals.
Simplical Complex starts with bells, a harp, horn section and a classical harmony transition, only to morph into a celestial vibe towards the end.
Major Seven closes the album with a violin turned into a pulsating evolving climbing up from the underneath.
