BLIND VISION
THE STORY
The title Blind Vision came from a moment in the studio when I realized I was spending too much time looking at computer screens and not enough time actually listening. I wanted to see if I could create something by instinct alone, closing my eyes and letting my hands find the right knobs and keys.
It turned out to be one of my more energetic and rhythmic albums, but the process of making it was actually very meditative. It taught me to trust my ears over my eyes. When you listen to this, I hope you feel that same sense of just letting go and seeing where the sound takes you.
Analog is that track that start strong and keeps on getting stronger. I enjoyed working on it and feel it has that pulsating vibe that keeps on evolving without stop.
THE TRACKS
Digital explores the coldness that can come with zeros and ones. I used effects such as Flanger and ring modulators to create that freezing vibe. The ending sequence draws inspiration from Jean Michel Jarre's Metamorphosis album.
Crystal mirrors passing time creating and unsettling but harmonic vibe, later evolving into a pulsating rhythm that provides the final harmonic and melodic sequencing.
Timing counts time. Literally, sonically. Its a passage between Crystal and Blind Vision.
Blind Vision starts with a mysterious rhythm and sequence that evolve into a quantum loop, and evolving and cyclical rhythm and soundscape that captures the listener into the event horizon with no ending.
Hybrid explores what happens when both states of vision occur at the same time. Strange sounds pop in and out, rotating sequences circle around the listener.
Lucid Dream was inspired by the movie Vanilla Sky. What is reality actually? Like the Matrix, is it a dream? Hypnotic sequences loop around the listener, pestering, not letting go.
